#61 ULTRAVIOLET WAVES: Genetic test of femininity

The Olympic Committee has again decided to conduct examinations of women to demonstrate that they can participate in the high-level competition. Previously, gynecological examinations were carried out and future genetic tests will be carried out in the name of “respectful” treatment and without violating “intimacy”. Specifically, athletes who want to compete in the women’s category will check if they have a gene located on the Y chromosome and only on that chromosome. In fact, we have been shown that biologically women are XX and men are XY. Therefore, if in the analysis to be performed on the athlete this gene is only found on the Y chromosome, this person is considered biologically human. In this episode of the podcast “Ultraviolet Waves” we have questioned this thesis. It makes no scientific sense to distinguish who is a woman from who is not based on a simple genetic test.
