A team of scientists from the Canadian University of Guelph investigates the use of a natural pesticide that will keep fruits for a long time. This type of pesticide is made up of chemical ingredients that produce the smell and taste of fruits.
Fruit aromas are chemical compounds formed by villagers, alcohols and ketones that are currently used to increase the taste of certain foods. It aims to curb the corruption of fruits using perfumes that destroy microbes. This is the biggest current problem for fruit producers, as legislation has avoided the toughest pesticides.
Thanks to these natural pesticides, the University of Guelph team believes that large annual losses of rot fruits can be reduced.
