Young Navarreses present 44 science and technology projects at the “Elhuyar Science Fair | Nafarroa Teknociencia”

Pamplona has become an epicentre of innovation and knowledge thanks to the 'Elhuyar Science Fair| Navarra Tecnociencia'. At the Baluarte exhibition hall, more than 140 young people from 15 schools in Navarre have presented more than 40 projects in the fields of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

The day was animated by meteorologist and presenter of the ETB, Arnaitz Fernández, followed by a talk by Paula Noya, director of Cultural Infrastructures of the NICDO, and Jon Abril Olaetxea, general coordinator of Elhuyar, both organizers of the event. The opening was also attended by Juan Luis García Martín, Director of Universities, Innovation and Digital Transformation of the Government of Navarra.

For four hours, students of FP, ESO, Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and Special Education have shared the fruit of their work. They present the projects developed during the course and propose innovative solutions to address current challenges such as sustainability, recycling, environmental conservation and food improvement.

To conclude the day, each participant has received a diploma in recognition of their effort and commitment in science and technology. In addition, prizes to go to Sendaviva have been drawn among the participants.

The following schools participated in the fair: Amazabal IES, Andra Mari Ikastola, Libertad IES, Biurdana IES, Colegio Luis Amigó, Colegio San Cernin, CEE El Molino, CIP FP SAKANA LH IIP, IES JULIO CARO BAROJA, ILLIES IKASTIN, BHI, Jardín Monza, PADRE CRUZ, Plaza de Montes. In addition, several guest groups have also participated in the event.

Elhuyar Science Fair, Bilbao, 28-31 May

This year’s Elhuyar Science Fair will be held from 28th to 31st May in the Arenal of Bilbao. The young people who have been in Baluarte this weekend will also have the opportunity to present their projects there, along with other youth groups from the Basque Country. We will provide details of the event in the coming weeks.
