INKOA has developed an intelligent electronic animal identification system. This new tool does not present failures in animal identification systems and meat products currently used. In addition, this technology allows online automation of processes in livestock farms, slaughterhouses, meat cutting and meat industries.

Electronic identification of IDELAN animals allows automated control and management of the processes of livestock farms and meat industries. All this by automatically collecting information about animals and products. This system therefore has advantages in terms of management, security and speed, information availability and process automation.

These systems, based on microelectric technology, usually have a permanent, accurate and safe identification system, which allows the identification of the animal at any point in the chain or control. This technology consists of electronic identifiers (transponders, for example, a rumor bolus, a slope or a subcutaneous tag), a reader, data processing software and automation and control systems. These systems can have multiple applications and adapt to the needs of each customer.

Advantages of electronic identification

This technology prevents reading and transcription errors, prevents information loss and streamlines control tasks. In addition, it accelerates data transmission and allows computerization, control and automation in livestock farms and meat industries.

In addition, all information collected through electronic identification, automation and IDELAN control systems can be consulted and managed via the Internet. In this way, customers and different organizations can receive information automatically.

Electronic identification allows automatic access to the history of meat products throughout the production chain, from livestock to the point of sale.

The system developed by INKOA manages the general databases. It collects and saves all the information related to the life of each animal: sex, age, aptitude, date of discharge, lot number, exploitation code, race, dates of purchase and sale, exit to the slaughterhouse, etc.

This technology includes different automated management and control modules:

  • Livestock farms: group classifications, automatic feeding dosages, yield controls, movements from one farm to another, automatic records of clinical history and health history, etc.
  • Slaughterhouse, clearing and distribution of meat: automatic identification and classification of channels and clearing, controls of storage and transport, control of production items, etc.

Diverse applications

This technology facilitates tasks such as automatic animal classification, delivery management, food control, sanitation campaigns, reproductive management, insemination and milk control.

In the control of milk based on electronic identification, for example, the process is accelerated and errors in the identification of animals and samples are avoided. Thanks to this application, from one moment to another, information can be obtained on the increases in the production of a farm, the detection of mamitis, the genetic assessment of ancestors and the follow-up of the samples or analyses carried out.

In addition, the application includes a specific program to label and identify milk samples. This system is mainly aimed at producer associations, genetic improvement plans and ranchers to optimize dairy production.

With this goal, automatic food control automatically provides the food that each animal should eat. This system has two applications: on the one hand, individual feeding for maximum performance controlling weight and production (food is supplied dosed and at certain hours); on the other hand, mass feeding, that is, feeding to each virtual or physical group, with a specific type of food and dosage.
