Bandage to accelerate wound healing

In the United States they have invented a special band-aid based on a natural process of wound healing. In fact, after a wound, the fibrinogen protein in the blood forms a fibrin network. This network stops bleeding and protects the wound from infections.

The new tyre contains fibrinogen extracted from human or bovine blood. To be able to place fibrinogen on a bandage, it is necessary to be first removed from the blood. It then passes through an electrically charged syringe and evaporates the solvent. In this way, fibrinogen molecules bind together and acquire their appearance in blood. With them they form a net and place it in a gauze.

These gas or thyrites slow blood flow much faster than conventional ones and support emerging cells. The next step is the realization of biodegradable structures to form damaged tissues and the use of other molecules that, in addition to fibrinogen, contribute to the healing process.
