In EE.UU. fear that my fentanyl will cause more harm than fentanyl. In particular, the specialized journal The Lancet has published an article warning this risk and has recommended that those responsible take preventive measures. In fact, harsher nitrogen is 40 times more potent than fentanyl. Therefore, they have never been admitted to the clinic, as it is easy to overcome the safe dose. However, its consumption continues to grow as well as deaths caused by overdose: the first reports were made in 2019 in the United States and since then it is estimated that 2000 Americans have died.

Nitazenes can be found in the form of dust, pills or fluids, mixed with other substances: heroin, fentanyl, benzodiazepines… Their precursors are produced in China and reach the United States through Mexico. The Lancet explains that the treatments developed for heroin consumers are not as effective as synthetic opioids, for example, fentanyl generates much more disability than heroism and nitazenes can make this situation worse. Laws to deal with fentanyl can unintentionally promote the supply of miserums. In addition, the Donald Trump Government can reverse the measures that have been taken in recent years to fight drug dependence.

For the time being, Trump’s opioid strategy is based on treating addiction and reducing the supply of drugs. During the election campaign in 2024, he said it would expand federal support to counseling, treatment and recovery programs. It has also pledged more stringent enforcement measures and stricter border controls to contain opioid trafficking in the United States. However, according to The Lancet, experts fear that the other health decisions of the administration are harmful to people who use drugs.

Finally, he recalled that prevention is fundamental and recommended renewing the declaration of the opioid crisis as a public health emergency. In the European Union, the EUDA drug agency is monitoring them and, according to the latest report, although in general synthetic opioids have little space in the drug market, it warns of an increased risk of nitrogens.
