In the previous issue we published a dossier on high temperature superconductivity. It mentioned the characteristics of these new materials and their possible technological importance. Its usefulness and technological impact depends on temperature. Higher temperature, higher technological interest. The maximum temperature reached so far was -147ºC. Physicist J-T Txen of Wayne State University in Detroit has prepared a material that retains the properties of superconductors up to -23º C.

These news, like all others, must be taken very carefully and cannot be believed too much until the new one is confirmed.
