The biologists of the University of California believe they have revealed part of the mystery of the flowers born from the interior of the flowers. This phenomenon is an atypical deformation of the flowers and until now we do not know their origin. For the first time 2000 years, this type of flowers has been described and since then they have become a treasure highly appreciated for both the floral industry and the geneticists. According to California researchers, intra-floral flowers appear when three genes of the flower cells move at the same time. The normal flowers are formed by four concentric rings: the sepals on the outside, that is, the green organs in the form of leaf that surround the flower; the petals on the inside; the stamina, the male sexual organs, and the carpelos or the female organs. When the three genes move, the petals, stamens, and carpels become sepals forming a double flower. The process can be repeated constantly forming chains of internal flowers. The botanists proposed hundreds of years ago that the petals, stamens and flasks were modified leaves, but so far this change has not been possible.
