Young researchers will expose their research to four Nobel Prize winners in five minutes

2013/07/12 Elhuyar Zientzia

The selected postdoctoral researchers will have less than 5 minutes to briefly expose their main lines of research to four Nobel Pitch Awards.

This special is based on the technique of elevatorpitch. It is a fast communication technique that consists of explaining in a clear and concise way an idea or project. Participants must present the main ideas of a project during the journey of a lift.

This workshop will include Aaron Ciechanover (biology), Claude Cohn-Tannoudji (physics), DudleyHerschbach (chemistry) and Jean Marie Lehn (chemistry), Nobel Prize winners. The Nobel Pitch initiative, organized by the Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC), is part of the scientific festival PassionforKnowledge – Quantum 13. The Basque Foundation for Ikerbasque Science coordinates in collaboration with the UPV/EHU.

Researchers interested in participating can now register on the website www.quantum13.eu until 31 August. To do this, researchers must submit a brief summary of their work or research project. This summary will serve as a basis for the selection of candidates.

In addition to the Nobel Pitch initiative, the PassionforKnowledge Science Festival – Quantum 13has organized some communication training workshops aimed at researchers. The first week of October is already open the registration deadline.
