Birds with teeth

1994/12/01 Elhuyar Zientzia Iturria: Elhuyar aldizkaria

Most scientists believe that birds were born from dinosaurs, and one last discovery has confirmed it. A group of paleontologists from the University of Madrid explore a lower Cretaceous site in Las Hoyas. There have been found remains of ornithomimosaur (bird species), species hitherto unknown and similar to the pelicana, so it has been called Pelecanimimus plolyodon.

This small dinosaur, 2-2.5 meters long, has at least 200 small teeth in the mouth, located at the front of the gag and very close to each other. The discoverers claim that these small colds disappeared throughout the evolution and the peak of the current birds emerged.
