Tempered fusion

Last year the cold nuclear fusion caused a great stir. R.J. of the Brookhaven National Laboratory of the United States at the end of last year. Beuhler, G. Friedlander and L. Friedman reported on the discovery of a new nuclear fusion route. This discovery has not aroused the same interest as that of cold fusion, but for some, P.M. For the Basque physicist Etxenike, for example, it is more interesting than him. Etxenike has given it the name of temperate fusion, but perhaps it is a more adequate translation of the name given to it by the mergers of American ensemble.
North American physicists have accelerated the molecular sets formed by 25-1,300 D2O molecules to 200-325 keV and have put them in contact with titanium target (TiD). The energy generated in these impacts has entailed the fusion of several deuterium nuclei. The reaction is 2H + 2H 1H + 3He.
On the other hand, Etxenike and some of his colleagues have proposed a mechanism that explains how fusion occurs in these conditions. This mechanism is based on the great energies that are produced in the collision of the molecular set and in the rapid fluctuations of density.
