The Tlantarras Disease Control Center has announced that more than 400,000 Americans die from tobacco-related diseases.

The Atlanta disease control center has announced that more than 400,000 Americans die from tobacco-related diseases. The dead are those who used to smoke twenty or thirty years ago.

We are paying the bad habits acquired between 1950 and 1970

says the director of the mentioned center, William Roper.

According to the data provided by this center, 434,175 Americans died in 1988 because of tobacco. Taking into account the number of deaths that occurred in 1885, that is, 390,000, this sad number can be seen that it has grown by 11% and that in 1865 it has doubled compared to the number of deaths, that is, 188,000.

However, among Americans smokers account for 29% of the population and it can be said that it has been reduced considerably compared to the proportion that there was in 1864 (40%).

The first cause of mortality from tobacco is lung cancer. Thus, in 1888 111,985 people died, while in 1865 38,100 people died. Passive smokers have also suffered damage, as it is estimated that 3,285 passive smokers have died.
