Images of 25,000 years ago have been found in Mañaria

Archaeologists Diego Garate, Joseba Ríos and Ander Ugarte have found images of 25,000 years ago in the cave of Askondo in Mañaria. Yesterday gave the news the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, but 5 months ago they made the discovery. "It has been very difficult to keep the secret," said Ríos, "so now we are delighted to tell what we have seen."

Five horses drawn in red, another engraved horse, a red footprint of one hand, stripes and other engravings have been found, among others. According to Ríos, everyone may belong to the same time. "From an aesthetic point of view, the set of images is very beautiful. And we have shown that they are very old, 25,000 years ago." In addition, from the beginning they have had no doubt that they are true, since there were stalamictic growths about some of them.

In two weeks it will begin to analyze more thoroughly and researchers do not rule out new discoveries.
