To make windows, to make water or soft drinks containers, or to make the tuturia of our houses. In all of them PVC is currently used and although it does not produce any damage, it is essential to regulate its use.

What about PVC? In recent times, opinions for and against can be found everywhere and there has been a great controversy about it. In some places, for example, special commissions have been created to regulate the use of PVC, expanding its harmful potential for human health and the environment.

In Europe there have already been voices in favour of the total ban on PVC and in Switzerland, for example, it is totally forbidden to bottle water, soft drinks or beer. While producers deny any harm, environmental groups claim that PVC production produces pollution in the environment and harms human nervous and reproductive systems. This is the core of the controversy.

It is the abbreviation of the polymer PVC Poli (bili chloride). This material is one of the most used for its characteristics: it is insoluble in most solvents and resistant to chemical agents. Its use in the market began 60 years ago. Europe produces around 5 million tons annually, mainly in Germany, France and Italy.
