Photo of the week: World Space Week
From the 4th to the 10th of October, World Space Week is celebrated. It is a week to highlight the contributions of space science and technology to the betterment of human life.
The photograph selected for this week has been awarded this year’s ZWO Best Astronomy Photographer of the Year Award in the Sky Landscapes category.
It is the sky of Botswana, free of light pollution, where the luminous paths left by the stars are perfectly visible. The trees look like elongated hands that want to catch the stars.
Surely many people have stopped to look at the sky on a summer night and have thought: “If I could record everything.” Well, that photo did.
