Each segment of the pineapple grows over three others but not in any order. In a diagonal position, the segments form lines that, along the entire pineapple, form rows of spiral segments.

The segments are arranged in three types of coils, whose numerical relationship depends on a known succession of numbers. Mathematicians call the succession of Fibonacci to the relationship between the spirals of pineapple. It is no exception, in nature are frequent the sequences of Fibonacci.
