The future of the wolf on the table

since 2020 it is not possible to hunt wolves in the Basque Country. This was the year in which the Basque Government included this species in its catalogue of Endangered Species, but the situation may change from one moment to the next. On the one hand, it is losing its support in Europe and, on the other, the wolf management plan drawn up by the Government and the Provincial Councils may soon come into force. The debate about the future of the wolf is back on the table.
