[Nanomaterials for spinal cord reconnection]

People with spinal cord injuries operate with the goal of regaining mobility at the CIC Biomagune, a member of the BRTA alliance. Implants containing carbon nanotubes are being developed for this purpose. They use the implant to complete the discontinuity between the spinal cord neurons to reconnect the neurons, and their studies so far in rats have shown that the implant allows them to regain mobility more quickly.
