Energy use is a major contributor to the climate emergency. Therefore, by modifying the agent itself, a great change in the evolution of the climate can be made. This is the objective of the energy transition: to replace fossil fuels with renewable energies. It is clear that this is not enough to restore the climate and that degrowth, i.e. reducing consumption as much as possible, is also essential. But renewables are making a big change. The benefits and challenges of renewable energy sources are at the heart of this episode of the “Ultraviolet Waves” podcast.
