#58 ULTRAVIOLET WAVES: Sport, menstruation and sex

Physical exercise is any physical activity that improves and maintains the health and well-being of the body. Sport, on the other hand, is regulated, planned and has specific objectives and ways of doing. High-level athletes are subject to pressures and demands that others do not have, which sometimes generates concerns. For example, some women have a loss of menstruation or delays that greatly reduce their flow. To respect the menstrual cycle and preserve the health of athletes, it is essential to take into account menstruation in sports planning. On the other hand, it is widespread that practicing sex before competing decreases performance. However, science is not so clear.
