#55 ULTRAVIOLET WAVES: Sexism of artificial intelligence

To kick off the fourth season of the “Ultraviolet Waves” podcast, we have chosen the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, with a live performance in the Aula Magna of the Aquarium of San Sebastian. The main theme has been Artificial Intelligence and gender.

In fact, AI systems have experienced tremendous expansion in recent years, but this expansion has not been the same when it comes to the same: studies show that girls use AI tools less than boys. Even in development, far fewer women than men are engaged in this field. And in the results, the gender bias is evident.

In addition to highlighting the gender gap, the section has also explored how to solve the problem. In the fourth season, the usual subsections will also be worked on by sections.
