#35 ULTRAVIOLET WAVES: The relationship of the Earth and Moon sisters

The Earth and the Moon were born together, and since then they have had a close and mysterious relationship. According to the most widely accepted scientific hypothesis, they were caused by a collision. This hypothesis explains that when the solar system was still young and green, and like most young people, rather chaotic and messy, a Martian-sized object, Teia or Tea, struck the Earth protoplanet circling the Sun. It was precisely from this collision that the planet that would later become the Earth was born. The pile of rock and material that remained in its orbit became dense over time and thus the Moon was formed. In this section, Alaitz Ochoa de Eribe Aguirre and Ana Galarraga Aiestarán, communicators from Elhuyar, explain the evolution of the Earth and the Moon since then.

In addition, they have provided news, received contributions from listeners in the "You learn something every day" section, and confirmed or denied certain affirmations.

Ultra Violet Waves is produced by Elhuyar for the EITB Podkast portal.
