Eclipse drops: Exoplanets

The most productive way to find planets outside the Solar System is through eclipses. When the exoplanet passes in front of its star, it temporarily covers the light, so if we see an occasional decrease in brightness in the light of a star, there is an exoplanet. This is how HD209548b was found.
