Protecting wood with citrus fruits
One of the most widespread ways to protect wood from aggressive organisms is chemical warfare. However, the risks arising from the use of chemicals have helped to reinforce the interest in obtaining efficient but less polluting wood protectors.
The objective of the project, developed by CIDEMCO, is to assess the biocidal potential of citrus waste mainly from the agri-food industry. That is, you want to know if citrus fruits are useful to protect wood from insects and fungi.
