Last year, as records began, it was the warmest year. Meteorologists from the English University of East Anglia have analyzed that 1988 has been 0.34ºC above the average temperature of 1950-1979 and that, in addition, eight of the nine hottest years of this century have occurred in the 1980s. It cannot be said whether the warming trend is sustainable or not, or whether it is a consequence of the greenhouse effect. However, the heating produced responds to greenhouse models.
