Appreciated in gold and oxidation
01/12/2005 | Elhuyar

The University of Cardiff has used gold nanoparticles to activate oxygen at 60-80ºC. With this they have managed to make the normal process of making medicines, detergents or food additives cleaner than normal. These products are manufactured through an oxidation process in which harmful substances are used and produced for the environment. However, the use of gold nanoparticles as a catalyst makes the process much cleaner.
