The Oregon State University has built a transparent transistor. They expect to have several applications and have already made the patent. The material used for the construction of the transistor is cheap and a good electric conductor, can be placed on thin surfaces and is useful at low temperatures. In addition, the waste generated once damaged is not harmful to the environment. For the moment, it will be used to improve flat screens, because thanks to this transistor will get cleaner and more luminous screens. If inserted into the windows of cars, the transistor can be used as a screen and, in general, will be suitable for any type of electronic device. But, just like it happened with the laser in the 1960s, it is soon to know what applications it will have.
