In many cases, scientific research carried out for military purposes serves to obtain tools that previously seemed unthinkable. In this case we refer to the powerful and light electric generators, since soldiers increasingly have to carry more electrical appliances and to power them a lot of energy is needed.

Laboratory engineer Pacific Northwest National, who works for the U.S. navy, is designing a generator of these characteristics and has recently shown the first prototype obtained. In this system, liquid methanol becomes hydrogen.

Subsequently, by reacting hydrogen with atmospheric oxygen, the reverse process of electrolysis occurs, generating electrical current and water. The generator they want to build will weigh about 1.5 kg.
