The GAIKER technology center works on a project that aims to develop intelligent polymers and understand their possibilities. Intelligent materials are new materials capable of adapting to applications depending on the environment: pigments that vary in color depending on the temperature, light sources to electrical excitation, active prostheses, etc. For example, aspect memory alloys used in orthodontics can be used in composite structures. This way you could get material able to change the resistance to shocks. The objective of the Gaiker project is to analyze and investigate these and other alternatives.
