Situation of the oceans
2008/04/01 Elhuyar Zientzia Iturria: Elhuyar aldizkaria
A group of international researchers has developed a map of the impact of human activity on the world's oceans. The map shows that there is not a square kilometer that has not suffered human influence worldwide. In all territories, at least one of the 17 factors considered by researchers has been pollution and coastal dumping, rising sea temperature due to human activity, damage to oil platforms, fishing, etc. Scientists shared the influence of factors on square kilometers and began mapping the world's oceans in 2003. The results map is as follows. The blue color indicates the lowest incidence and the red the largest.
