UEU Vertebrates. He has published the book Anatomy, evolution and diversity. The author is Joxerra Aihartza, UPV biologist.
"Different behaviors can be used when researching vertebrates," explains Aiartza. "There are several textbooks that turn directly to anatomy, which is very important to know the biology and evolution of animals. Others study groups of animals, explain their evolution and often become long strips of animals. These two approaches have always seemed quite cold to me. That's why I tried to introduce them all together."
It is a book that can be useful both for fans of outreach and nature lovers. This is explained by Aiartza: "It started as a textbook. But I think all the topics related to biology and nature have a large number of readers, and I tried to equip the book with other elements so it can be used by interested people."
It is a book of almost 500 pages with 780 images. Aiartza wanted to highlight the great support he has had in the realization of the images: on the one hand, that of three of his illustrators, Bea Barba, Alba Jimeno and Tere Uribe-Etxebarria, and on the other, that of the prestigious illustrator Karen Evas. "Verbally explaining the diversity of animals is very difficult and must appear in images."
