External memory developed to store bulky data sets. It offers numerous advantages over other supports. On a 130 mm diameter (5 1/4 inch) floppy disk, 594 Mb, 297 can be stored on either side.

This is a shortcut support that allows deleting and rewriting data as many times as you want. Therefore, it includes the advantages of floppy disks, hard drives and CD-ROM, on the one hand the possibility of rewriting data and on the other the ability to store large volumes.

Image processing is primarily aimed at CAD-CAM and applications and workstations that require real-time reading and/or writing and use large volumes of information.

As said, having a large memo capacity is not your only advantage, you can dump as if it were a hard drive and resave the information. This feature is because it is made of a special material. This material only changes its magnetic polarization when heated by a laser beam to the point known as point curie.

It offers greater security than the rest of magnetic supports, since the disc must support magnetic fields of great force that are not at normal data loss temperature.
