Looking for neutrinos

1996/10/01 Elhuyar Zientzia Iturria: Elhuyar aldizkaria

The world's largest neutrino trap is found in a Japanese mine with a water mass of 50,000 tons. Thanks to this, scientists will analyze the remains that particles from the Sun can leave on the surface of the water. These particles, however, will first cross the rock one kilometer thick. The construction of the reservoir has cost twelve thousand five hundred billion pesetas (500 million pounds).
