Is it a black animal with white or white zebra stripes with black stripes? In a US research center we have already clarified the issue. Surprisingly, they have managed to eliminate stripes by gene manipulation. The following figure shows the results obtained.

However, the experiment has not remained in a mere aesthetic. Zebra lines are the best protection system for these animals. The striped dress is a perfect costume so that the other animals living in the savannah do not see them at night. In addition, zebra lines define the identity of animals, since all stripe structures are different. This curious investigation will cause more changes than expected.
