Prize to mathematicians

The research prize named after Fermat of the prestigious mathematician will be awarded once every year, beginning this spring.

The Paul-Sabatier University of Toulouse (France) and the company Espace de Matra are promoting mathematical research work in the 17th century. They have decided to organize the research prize Fermat, of the prestigious mathematician of the twentieth century. The prize will take into account the theory of numbers, the calculation of probabilities and the work done in analytical geometry.

It will be issued every two years, beginning this spring.
