Civil Environmental Responsibility Law already prepared

The Environmental Civil Responsibility Law has already reached the Spanish Economic and Social Council (CES). The Council met on 21 April to analyze the text and decide its approval, since the Ministry of Environment wants to move this new law to the Courts before the summer.

This Law will force the most polluting companies to carry out an insurance of 15,000 million pesetas to repair or compensate for the damage they can cause to nature or people. Along with this law will be published a relationship of companies that must perform insurance. In this list are mainly companies producing products and chemical residues.
