1986/02/01 Elhuyar Zientzia Iturria: Elhuyar aldizkaria

Evolution of demand for nuclear power plants in the US.

The atomic industry of advanced countries, and especially the United States, is descending. The domestic market is closing for two reasons: concern for the environment and the explosion of costs.

Following this explosion of costs are the harsh security measures and the prolongation of construction deadlines. For example, if it took 72 months in the US in 1977. in 1984 it took 101 months and since 1985 the new nuclear power plant had not been commissioned. However, cancellations have been numerous. The graph is quite representative.Being

the black company of this situation, the nuclear have begun to look for new fairs and look to the Third World. Because they want good payers (they are scarce in the Third World), they want to take their roots in the countries that are exploiters of Middle East oil. After the oil oils, they fight hard.
