The European Patent Office (EPO) and the Digital Library of Traditional Knowledge of India have reached an agreement to avoid patting traditional Indian remedies. The patent office will have the possibility to access the library database, which will allow dismissing patent applications submitted based on this knowledge. Somehow they want to avoid the piracy of traditional knowledge.
