There was already a strong suspicion, but experts increasingly see the relationship between anger and heart disease. In a study at Duke University (USA), the tendency to get angry is associated with C-reactive protein (CRP). According to many experts, this protein is a better indicator than cholesterol level to measure the risk of heart disease.
For analysis, 127 people aged 18 to 65, all healthy. And on the one hand, three tests to know the state of the emotions of depression, anger and resentment, and on the other hand, they were evaluated the level of CRP in the blood serum.
Comparing both sets of data, they observed that people charged with negative emotions had between two and three times more CRPs than cheerful and more optimistic, with which they had a higher risk of heart disease.
