Increasingly hot summers in Europe

2004/04/01 Elhuyar Zientzia Iturria: Elhuyar aldizkaria

Since 1977 summers have been the hottest of the last five hundred years in Europe and temperatures have been higher in winter.

A Swiss university has collected temperature data from across Europe and it has been proven that the summer of 2003 was the hottest of the last 500 years.

The second warmest summer was in 1757 and the coldest in 1902. Researchers have found that climate has had a tendency on more than one occasion to heat and cool, and that an unprecedented warming had begun thirty years ago.
