Searching for "lost" amphibians

A ray of hope but, at the same time, many reasons to be concerned. This is the opinion of a group of scientists from around the world who have returned from a campaign to find “lost amphibians.” The campaign has been led by Conservation International and the IUCN Amphibian Specialist Group (ASG) to find the survival and location of endangered amphibian species.

The attractive toad type of the image has been the only one that has found in this campaign of the top 10 that wanted to be found. With Arlekin the toad is only in Ecuador and in a very limited area. The lands that discovered this toad are not protected, so the future of this species is uncertain.
