1994/01/01 Elhuyar Zientzia Iturria: Elhuyar aldizkaria
In 1991, an important anthropopolitical discovery was made at the Similaun glacier in Tyrol (see “Elhuyar. Science and Technology. No. 68 K. Article “Arbosque Hallado en el Hielo” by Goia). The body of a man killed 5,000 years ago by fatigue and cold, called Otzi, was discovered at the university of Innsbruck.
Since then, the artist and anthropologist John Gurche has put the muscles and skin of the urethane. He has rebuilt it with data provided by the University of Innsbruck. This artist has had anthropometric measurements, three-dimensional images, x-ray and scanner techniques, etc. to complete the Otzi seen in the image.
