Awarded the awards of the Zientzia Azoka of Elhuyar

The awarded projects have been:

• The project professor Hortz Eskola of the Somorrosto Training Center has received the opportunity to participate in “Science in Action”.

• The Sustainable Vertical Orchard project of IES Urbi in Basauri has received the opportunity to take a training course in “Digipen Bilbao”.

The awards have been awarded by Cristina Perfecta, researcher at Teleco Renta.

• B.U. from the IES Uribarri Center of Basauri The Laser Meter project has been awarded the award for the scholarship “Bizkaia Talent”.

• The Antibiogram project of the Bizilabe Deusto College has received the opportunity to participate in the “Galiciencia” fair.

The awards have been awarded by Isabel Sarrionandia Ibarra Fernández, Head of the Business Promotion Service of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia.

• The bread mold breeding project of the ikastola Lauro de Loiu has been given the opportunity to participate in the “Open Science” of Cambra.

The prize was awarded by Marie Heguy-Urain, a technician from the Eurorregión Nueva Aquitania-Euskadi-Navarra and manager of calls for projects.

• The Mikrobiota project and the brain of the ikastola Udarrangi of Usurbil have been given the opportunity to participate in the “Science on the Street” fair.

• The project The Crystal City from the STEAM and sustainability perspectives of IES Rafael Puga Ramón has received the opportunity to participate in the “VILA CIENCIA” fair.

The awards have been awarded by the Research Director of the Basque Government, Amaia Esquisabel.

• Ikastola Lauro de Loiu in Codenebu: The project Safe message delivery system in space and the project Energy undimotriza of the IES Elexalde de Galdakao have received the opportunity to participate in the “Exporecerca Jove” fair in Barcelona.

The awards have been given by Xabier Otxandiano, a member of the Area of Economic Development, Trade and Employment of the City of Bilbao.

• The project The influence of the butts and medicines on the planting of seeds of the Amazabal College BHI of Leitza has received the opportunity to participate in the fair “Mostra Nacional de Ciencia Portuguesa”.

• The Temperature, Humidity and CO2 Meters project of the Txorierri BHI center of Derio has received the opportunity to participate in the “I Giovani e le science” fair in Milan.

Elhuyar Zientzia

This year’s Elhuyar Science Fair has lasted 4 days, from 22 to 25 May, and was held in the Arenal of Bilbao. In this study, 200 projects have been exposed and 800 young people from 70 schools have participated. In addition to young people from schools in Euskal Herria, they have also been awarded at national and international fairs: Eleven groups have arrived in Bilbao.

The objective of Elhuyar Zientzia Azoka is to offer young people scientific experiences and to promote and disseminate scientific culture, not only at this fair that is held in Arenal, but also throughout the year. In addition to the young students, research centers and universities of the Basque Country participate in the Fair. In addition, it is worth highlighting the commitment shown each year with this project: at the beginning of the course, 150 researchers from universities and technological centers (including 65 women) registered to work with students and perform the work of evaluators of the last phase.
