The Elhuyar Zientzia Azoka | Nafarroa Teknozientzia eighth edition has filled Baluarte with young people
This Saturday, April 25, Baluarte hosted the eighth edition of the Elhuyar Zientzia Azoka | Nafarroa Teknozientzia, organized jointly by Elhuyar and the Planetarium of Pamplona / NICDO. 227 students between 12 and 18 years old from 15 schools in Navarre presented 51 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) projects to the public gathered in the exhibition hall of the Palacio de Congresos de Navarra. The entrance was free and Pamplona filled an appointment with science.
The opening ceremony was presented by Arnaitz Fernández at 11:00. María Uresandi, coordinator of scientific activities of NICDO, welcomed the attendees, representing the Planetarium of Pamplona as a host institution. Then, Edurne Gastón, coordinator of the Science Unit of Elhuyar, highlighted the value of the fair as a space to make visible the scientific talent of young Navarrese people. The event was closed by the Minister of Universities, Innovation and Digital Transformation of the Government of Navarra, Juan Luis García.
For three hours, the participating teams presented the projects developed during the course, combining scientific rigor with digital skills and innovation capacity. The papers addressed real-world challenges in areas such as sustainability, health, environment and technology.
To conclude the day, each participant received a diploma in recognition of their effort and commitment to science and technology. In addition, a draw was held among the attendees to win a visit to Sendaviva on the occasion of the solar eclipse of August 12, 2026.

The Navarre groups that have participated in today’s fair will have the opportunity to present their projects together with groups from the Basque Autonomous Community in the main edition of the Elhuyar Zientzia Azoka, which will be held in Bilbao from May 6 to 9.
