The animals you can see in the attached picture are known as the Babirusa pig. Although the species is native to Indonesia, the female was born in Winchester and in Belgium the male. They currently live in the Edinburgh Zoo, where they have been moved to be a couple. As in all love stories, it is expected that it alternates sweet and difficult moments.

Undoubtedly, the most beautiful part of the relationship is the role that the couple can play in the survival of the species. The Babirusa pig is an endangered animal with only 150 specimens. From the Edinburgh Zoo it has been announced that the couple has adapted well to their new residence and the relationship is expected to be fruitful.

The clearest sign is the decrease in the aggressiveness of the two pigs. If the expected deadlines are met, the following year the first children of the couple will be born. Then will come the most difficult times for the “newlyweds”...
