Search Vikings
2000/10/01 Elhuyar Zientzia Iturria: Elhuyar aldizkaria
The BBC documentary will analyze the blood of 2,500 men in search of genetic remains of Vikings who conquered all of Europe more than 1,000 years ago.
According to David Goldstein of London University College, current genetic knowledge allows us to review our history and analyze the interactions that occurred between our ancestors. If we analyze the DNA of people today, we can know the characteristics of collectivities and, therefore, know what collectives our ancestors belonged to.
The television network will take blood samples from volunteers in various UK cities to analyze DNA and calculate the percentage of people of Viking origin among them. In this way you will be able to know the true history of the Vikings.
