At an auction in 1994, two music lovers bought some hairs from Beethoven, when the master died, whom some took his head off the hairs. Music lovers, however, left their hair in the hands of researchers, convinced that the master knows what remedy he used to cure his evils.

After the analysis, it was possible to verify that lead or mercury intake was possible. Mercury was taken to cure syphilis and it has sometimes been thought that Beethoven had that disease. However, I did not catch morphine to relieve pain and I did not have head lice either.
