Vaccination of hepatitis B in the schools of the Basque community

As is known, this disease affects the liver and although it is usually cured well, it can sometimes become a chronic disease. As it can be spread through blood contact and sexual relations, preventive measures will consist of a correct manipulation of the blood and the use of preservatives.

However, there is an effective vaccine if considered as described below:

1. dose: the day chosen as the start will be administered
2. 1 month dose from the first dose
3. dose 6 months from the first dose

At the initiative of the Department of Health of the Basque Government, during the course 93-94 a program of vaccination against Hepatitis B for all students of 7th of the Centers of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country will begin.

This vaccination without risk will be borne by the specialized health personnel.
