Difficult situation of Atlantic bluefin tuna

The migrations of bluefin tuna have been analyzed by satellite in the last nine years. And the results indicate that we should reflect on the fishing of this species.
According to observations, in the Atlantic there are two large populations of bluefin tuna. The western is smaller than the eastern. Both mix on the high seas and return to their place of origin to reproduce. The breeding place of a population is the Gulf of Mexico and the Mediterranean.
Biologists consider that the mixture of both populations is a serious problem from the point of view of fishing, since western tuna are caught at the expense of the quota of the Orientals. That is why they think it is necessary to reflect.
