Street and house lights attract insects and create a world opportunity for the geckos (Stenodactylus petrii). They have learned that human activity means easy food, changing their hunting habits.

In fact, the gecko’s vertical pupils dilate enormously at night, occupying even the smallest particle of light. That makes him a horrible night hunter. His eyes are 350 times more sensitive than ours.
